With fall temperatures increasingly dropping, I knew my opportunities for sketching in Yellowstone National Park were diminishing each week. It looked like it was going to be the last warmest weekend of the year, so I headed up north and was met with the wonder and awe I hadn't seen in over 10 years. Though this trip was so short, I was able to disconnect from the grid and connect myself with nature. I give full credit to the fact that I had no cell service in the park, and not because of any discipline I have or any meditation techniques that ground me. It's frustrating at first to be always out of range, and then something happens, and you relax and experience calm.
Drawing sizes range from 5.5 x 8.5 in., 6 x 8 in., 6 x 10 in., 9 x 12 in. Medium: colored pencil.
